The difficulty academics face in publishing their work has long been a problem we have been trying to solve. Initially the idea was for us to set up a printing press that would support academics in publishing their work. However, the heavy capital investment required, and difficulties in placing publications with libraries and distribution in general made us realise that this was not the ideal solution. It was as a result of this thought process that we came up with the idea of setting up a website for academics to publish their work. It would allow immediate publication to a worldwide audience at zero cost.
Free Research Papers provides a completely free service to both authors who wish to publish their work, as well as to students and scholars who wish to access such work free of charge. The copyrights of all works published on this website remain with the respective authors. You can easily create a profile within minutes and then start publishing your work to a worldwide audience at zero cost.
Academic journals and conventional publishers have a limited amount of space and resources they can allocate to each author, and further work is subject to editorial censorship, and often it can take months, if not years for a work to be published. Most academic work cannot be published at all as it may not have a commercial market. There are no such limitations on this website. Unless you attempt to publish material that is grossly unsuitable, we guarantee that we well not exercise editorial censorship or limit your academic freedom in any way. You can upload an unlimited number of papers, whether they have been previously published or not.
As we are also the products of universities, we feel it is time to give something back to the institutions and people who have given so much to us. So Free Research Papers is our way of supporting academics around the world, and providing a place where there are no limits to sharing your ideas with the world.
